ALBAWABA – A U.S. Air Force aircraft landed in Moscow, Russia, in an unexpected move that left many people shocked, especially following the war between Moscow and Kyiv, Russian media reported Tuesday.
According to sources, a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17, which departed from Riga, had landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.
The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, callsign REACH 4555 and registration 07-7181, departed from Joint Base Andrews to Riga and then, two days earlier, it departed to Moscow.
The aircraft reportedly arrived from Andrews Base, where Air Force One is based.
According to FlightRadar, on August 25, a military Boeing C-17 Globemaster III with the flight number RCH4555 took off from Riga and landed at Vnukovo Airport.
Sources declared that the C-17 aircraft is used to transport diplomatic and government and this marks the first such aircraft to arrive in Moscow since 2017.
No American source confirmed the reports shared on social media and by Russian media outlets.
