ALBAWABA – A video went viral on social media, triggering outrage and anger after Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña was sexually assaulted by César Sánchez Chavesta, the director of the group La Bella Luz.
Saldaña, 26, publicly denounced César Sánchez Chavesta, 50, after the leak of the video in which he appeared waiting for the singer outside the bathroom, and when she came out, he started to kiss her and grab her body in inappropriate places as she was trying to push him off.
The parents of singer Naldy Saldaña arrived in Lima calling for justice after their daughter filed a complaint against the director of La Bella Luz, accusing him of harassment and inappropriate touching.
The artist’s parents expressed their outrage at what happened and demanded that the authorities act swiftly. Their arrival in the capital is intended to support their daughter during the legal process and ensure that the case does not go unpunished.
“He started putting his hand all over me, even squeezing me harder,” the singer recounted, adding that this type of behavior wasn’t an isolated incident. “He was always putting his hand inside me,” the singer said in a statement.
On the other hand, the Attorney General’s Office said it opened an investigation against César Sánchez Chavesta for the alleged crime of touching, acts of a sexual nature or lewd acts without consent.
